Hello friends, welcome to my blog. Here I am going to share my experience of Lonavla trip in Monsoon season of last year.
Lonavla is a hill station near Pune city in Maharashtra. It is surrounded by green valley all around.
LONAVLA TRIP IN MONSOON – DISTANCE FROM PUNE
I think best season to visit in Lonavla is monsoon because in monsoon its full of greenery and the weather is very chilled.
The distance between Lonavla and Pune is approx 70 Kms by road.
On that trip me and my wife travelled on bike. Bike is good option to minimise traffic.
Because in monsoon season there is full traffic jam in Lonavla city.
When Bhushi Dam arrived then the road is totally blocked as there is only one road to tge Lion’s Point.
JOURNEY TO LONAVLA
We start our journey in morning so that we can reach ealry and returned back at the same day.
As this is monsoon season, so maximum time its raining.
We already took our raincoats in our bag so that we can escape us from the rain. 😇😇
So we start our journey at 09:00 AM in the morning.
After some time about 10-15, it starts raining again.
Then we stopped our bike and wear our raincoats and countinue our journey😇😇.
On the way to Lonavla we also stopped twice one for the heavy rain and second time to take a break and for clicking some road view pics.
PLACES WHICH WE COVER
After reaching Lonavla first site you find is the Bhushi Dam.
When you go ahead and go on the height you will fimd Tiger’s point and Lion’s Point.
But we decide to go on the Lion’s Point first and after that Bhushi Dam.
As late as you go after 11 AM you probably find heavy traffic, so we decide to go up first.
LONAVLA TRIP IN MONSOON – LION’S POINT
When we moving towards Lion’s point, first I tell you that the road is very curvey.
Some of the turns are very sharp you must drive very very carefully.
This is my wife’s first time on that type of location.
Because we are basically from Haryana and in Haryana there are plane area not mountain and hilly area.
So because of this my wife is little bit afraid because of this kind of road.
And also there is very heavy fog with almost zero visibility and at one point we afraid that if we lost our path.
But this is not my first time in Lonavla. Few momths ago I am here with my friends.
So I am aware that this is the right road to the Lion’s point.
I continuesly telling my wife that don’t worry, no need to be afraid I know its the right way.
But inside I am also little bit afraid😜😜. But in front of wife you must be like a fearless gentleman😜😅.
Otherwise your reputation will be totally gone 😄😄.
FINALLY AT LION’S AND TIGER’S POINT LONAVLA
After 15-20 minutes ride we started to hear some noise. This noise is from the other tourist who are already there.
Then both of us take a deep relief breath 😅.
During this whole ride the rain is continuesly falling on our heads😄.
When we reach at the spot, the scene is very beautifull. It is like the heaven in the clouds.
My wife also liked it very much as it is her first time she watch mountains and clouds so closely. 😇
So we parked our bike in the parking which is also available at Lion’s Point but they cost some parking fee from you to park your vehicle.
Don’t worry parking fee is not so high ✋😇.
And we move towards Lion’s Point and take some beautiful pics but in a wet dress 😋.
At the Lion’s Point there are some stalls which provide you tea, coffee and that kind of snacks.
Here wwe ate one ‘Bhutta’ (fried corncob 😊). And enjoyed the weather and the scene for some time.
After that we decide to go down at the Bhushi Dam.
So we took our bike and start to go down the hill and Lion’s Point.
So friends our experienceand some more pics at Bhushi Dam I gonna tell you in next blog so please stay connected with me, Thank you friends.
